those people at the back, sitting there not dancing but judging silently, that's most of us.

Two things this week that I couldn't believe. I saw Halloween decorations already out and more importantly, it's been 25 years since 9/11. It's been so long, that more people have died since that day from related issues than on that day alone. If you ever get a chance to go to NYC, that memorial is a beautiful tribute that is always emotional.

This week TIFF is back, that means lots of outdoor movies in the area, free giveaways and if you think you saw someone from that show, it was probably them. As summer wraps up, I wanted to thank you for reading and being a part of this journey. But don't worry, Toronto has a full year of incredible events ahead.

1. Fall Film Screenings

First up are shorts made by students at UofT with food and drinks. The quad is a great spot to take in UofT's architecture, which is better than the school anyway.

Also on campus is the first FFF of the season: Cría Cuervos (a 70s' European film drama). This series is an institution that far too few know about. Be prepared for a little soreness from the chairs from the same era.

And finally, 2 short documentaries about skateboarding in the West Bank, shown back to back. A donation option for Palestinian Mutual Aid if you're able.

2. Cabbagetown Festival + Art & Craft Show

One of the best festivals in the city. It's not too big, it doesn't have anything really outside of local places and last year the garlic knots were incredible.

The show brings together jury-selected artists, though they are also selling booths, so there's still a mixed calibre of art on display.

3. 200th Anniversary Mount Pleasant Cemetery Tour

Local historian Chantal Morris leads a two-hour walk through Mount Pleasant Cemetery marking its 200th anniversary. The cemetery gives you a reason to slow down. Meet at the Yonge Street Gates, rain or shine.

4. Give Me Liberty Street Party + Art Crawl

Liberty Village's annual street party takes over the Lamport Stadium parking lot after work on Friday. It's a neighbourhood blowout and fun to drop into. On Saturday, the Art Crawl is back with 60-plus artists across genres.

6. Collective Study: k-os' Joyful Rebellion

7. TIFF Festival Street + MasterClass

Walk the street and see celebrities from really far away or get a few free giveaways. And then you can stick around for free movies almost all week long. Check the list at the bottom for most of them, and look at the movie calendar for all of them.
On Sunday, Directors Caroline De Jenlis and Marie-Claude Poulin discuss Alice, their series selected for TIFF, in a session held in both French and English with interpreters.

8. Sunset Salsa

9. Taste of The Kingsway

10. Toronto Mexican Day
