secret concerts are always exciting, planned secret concerts, a little less so, but i'll take it.

hey locals, we're 3 weeks from Halloween and a long weekend is a few days off. Find your favourite friendsgiving table, get your costumes ready and catch some interesting events in your city this week. If you missed out on Nuit Blanche last week, you've got til the end of the weekend to see the extended projects. There are book launches, movie nights, a stop the genocide protest, and everything in between.

1. Fall Harvest Market

Sugar Beach with over 40 food and drink vendors, pumpkin bowling, axe throwing, marshmallow fire pits and get your fall photos by the water, which is the real draw. The festival is fine, but it's just a great reason to get to the lake.

2. Sofar Sounds

This usually isn't free and it's worth going to. The exact location comes out on Wed. Get registered. Three artists, an intimate room, local snacks, and a donation to the Food Bank. Another show on the 27th if you can't make this one.
