Tuesday's events with links. Tomorrow the newsletter drops, last chance to get on the list. Here are today's picks:

Artist Talk with Paul Ramírez Jonas
Fort York Library | exhibit: 12p-5:30p talk: 6p-7:30p

With the election coming, and it being International Day of Democracy, catch this artist talk with The Bentway's Anna Gallagher-Ross. The conversation ties into Public Trust, his interactive piece declare a promise, and it gets recorded in a drawing you take home. It's also posted on a marquee board next to pledges made by politicians, scientists, and more, pulled from the day's headlines.

Shop The Den Market
CBC Toronto Atrium | 12p-6p

You can actually buy from some of the businesses that have come through the show. There's a live pitch contest on stage and Dragon appearances in the afternoon, so it'll have a bit of that chaotic energy the show runs on. Worth a wander if you're in the area.

Tournament & Casual Chess
Left Field Brewery (liberty Village) | 8p-11p

Five rounds of chess on a Tuesday night at a brewery. The format keeps it moving, the crowd is mixed in terms of skill level, and there are casual games on the side if you'd rather not compete.

I Love Sushi
The Japan Foundation, Toronto | 11:30a-4:30 pm

This travelling exhibition from the Japan Foundation traces sushi from its Southeast Asian origins through to the version of it that's now everywhere. It's free, runs in timed hourly slots, and continues through to October 9, so today is just the opening week.

Trivia Night
Bluebird Bar | 8p-10p

Original trivia questions, teams up to six, picture and music rounds mixed in, and a crowd that wants to have fun.

An afternoon in the garden with tea, some grounding to start, then actual hands-on work, harvesting what's ready and tending what's left. Good people doing good things.
